Barn Safety & Animal Rules
To ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all visitors and the wellbeing of our animals, please follow these guidelines during your visit:
- Supervise Children: Parents and guardians must actively supervise children at ALL times. For their safety, children must remain accompanied and within close reach of an adult.
- Wash Hands: Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after feeding or touching animals. Hand-washing stations are located throughout the barn.
- NO OUTSIDE FOOD, PERIOD: Please keep all outside snacks and treats outside! Our animals are on very strict, custom diets, and outside food can make their tummies very sick. Only feed approved food buckets purchased inside — our critters thank you!
- Gentle Contact: Do not pull tails, squeeze, chase, or attempt to pick up animals. Gentle petting only. Listen to staff direction.
- No Flash Photography: Flash photography may startle or stress the animals. Please disable your flash before taking photos.
- Stay in Designated Areas: Please stay within visitor areas. Do not reach into enclosures or attempt to enter animal pens.
- No Outside Animals: Personal pets are strictly prohibited inside the facility to ensure the safety and health of our resident animals.
- Volume & Behavior: Loud noises, running, and rough behavior can stress the animals and other guests. Please be calm and respectful.
- Staff Direction: Follow all directions from Big Red's Barn staff. They are there to ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment.
Health & Allergy Notice
Big Red's Barn is a live animal facility. If you or your party have animal allergies, asthma triggered by hay or dander, or any health conditions that may be affected by an animal environment, please consult your physician before visiting. We want every guest to have a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Hand sanitizer is available throughout the facility in addition to hand-washing stations.
